General Reminders and information
Internal assessments – Years 7, 8, 9 and 10
The internal assessments for years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be starting soon. A copy of the letters and timetables are available on the letters home page. https://www.aylshamhigh.com/ahslettershome
On the school website are revision lists to support students with their revision. Please click here to access these.
Year 11 mock exams
Year 11 have two mock exams coming up:
- Monday 20th March – English – periods 1 and 2 in the hall
- Friday 24th March – Maths – periods 4 and 5 in classrooms
If your child has support in their exams, they will complete their mock exam in another location within school which will be communicated with your child.
External exams Summer 2023 – Years 9, 10 and 11
We have recently shared with students their summer exam timetables. These were handed out at tutor time on Thursday 16th March. If your child was not in school, their timetable and letter have been given to their tutor who will pass this on to your child when they return to school.
A copy of the revision timetable can be found here. This contains details of revision sessions taking place at lunch time, after school or during the Easter holiday.
Students watched a video in school to support their preparations for the external exams.
GCSE results day is Thursday 24 August. Further details regarding the collection of results will be shared with families nearer the time.
Reports reminder
The following school reports have been shared recently via SIMS Parent:
- Year 7 spring report – updated to include tutor report [shared this week]
- Year 8 autumn report updated to include the rotation 3 report
- Year 9 spring report (form tutor version)
- Year 10 spring report
- Year 11 spring report - updated to include English literature grade [shared this week]
Please ensure that you read your child’s report on SIMS Parent and then complete the parent/carer reply form which has been shared with you via ParentMail in the email to let you know that the reports are available.

Headlice
We have received reports of head lice in school. Please check your child's hair and treat if necessary.
